May 11, 2019 Adoption Pending

According to Oliver’s foster mom, everyone who meets this little guy just adores him, and it’s easy to see why. Blonde, playful and puppyish, he’s ready to make someone’s family complete.

Only 18 months, Oliver came to the CCRT after spending some time in another shelter. He definitely has an abundance of puppyish energy and an inquisitive mind. He loves to bounce around after his foster mom and plops right down on her lap when she sits down. Do you have a lap for Oliver to snuggle on?

He’s adapted well to life in his foster home and gets along great with other dogs, even big ones. He’s a friendly little guy who even wants to play with the cat, although he’s starting to realize that she might not be quite as into him. Oliver is a little guy with a lot to learn!

The good news? He’s been doing great with potty training and has only had a few accidents in his foster home. He’s also pee pad trained. His foster family reports that he sometimes pees a little when he’s excited or anxious, but he will likely improve with a bit of training and patience in this area once he feels safe.

Walking on the leash is a new concept for Oliver, but he’s learning quickly and goes for daily walks. He sometimes barks at cars, possibly because they make him nervous. He’s recently been to a small dog park and had the time of his life, running and playing with the other pups.

Oliver sometimes barks a bit when someone new visits but he calms right down after a few minutes. So many things are still so exciting for this little guy! He does, however, pass right out in his crate when it’s time for bed and doesn’t make a peep until the morning.

The best kind of family for Oliver would be one that’s puppy savvy and willing to be patient with his anxiety. He needs some more training and attention to help him reach his full potential. In return, this smart, lively little guy is ready to show you a lifetime of devotion.

Does Oliver sound like the guy for you? He would love it if you completed an adoption application for him. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for him, or any of our other fosters dogs.

Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a donation towards their care.
