Sadly, Cheeko was struck and killed by a car March 18, 2014 while walking with his foster mom on leash. Our hearts all go out to his foster family and we take solace in the fact that his death was instantaneous.
Due to ongoing health issues, this little guy is in long-term foster care. This means that a CCRT volunteer will care for him for the rest of his life using funds from Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport donations. CCRT is committed to providing the best possible care for all of its wee Chihuahua charges, even if that means not placing them up for adoption. We are furever thankful to our generous foster volunteers that make this a possibility for our dog rescue group.
