May 10, 2019: Adoption Pending
Do you have room in your home for this sweet, timid girl?
With a tan coat and delicate features, Daisy is every inch a lady. She has beautiful markings on her face, and at only 4.5 pounds, this 4-year-old Chihuahua is small enough to go anywhere with you.
Daisy is a very timid little girl who requires patience while she takes her time to warm up to people. Daisy came into CCRT’s care after her owner surrendered her. She previously resided with both a small and a large dog, as well as some cats. She appeared to get along with them all, although her foster family notes that she will bark at animals much larger than her. She currently resides with 4 other Chihuahuas in her foster home and gets along well with them.
Daisy thinks of her crate as a safe space and will retreat there whenever she feels uncomfortable. In the short time she has been in her foster home she is becoming more confident and ventures out of her crate more frequently. Despite this, Daisy is a first-rate snuggler and is not against being picked up and cuddled.
She uses pee pads in her foster home but will go outdoors when taken by her foster mom. However, she quickly retreats indoors if there is a loud noise or one of the other resident Chihuahuas runs past her quickly.
Daisy would be well suited for apartment or condo living.
This timid girl has not been child tested around children in her foster home and appears fearful of loud noises, so we believe she would do best in a quiet home. Daisy does not need to be the only dog and would be okay with another small, low-key companion. She sleeps in her crate at night and travels best in her crate, inside of the vehicle.
At her last vet visit Daisy was said to be healthy, with some loosening of her knee caps which the vet feels is nothing to be worried about. Daisy is scheduled to be spayed on April 23 and will have her teeth cleaned as well. After that, she’ll be ready for her forever home! So what are you waiting for?
If Daisy is the girl for you, she hopes you’ll complete an adoption application for her. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her, or any of our other foster dogs.
Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a donation towards their care.

Ms Daisy is super cute! Will keep an eye on her. Do any of your Chis get cat-tested?
Yes, she’s a sweetie! Our foster dogs are cat tested if they are placed in a foster home with cats. The profile will always provide this information when available.
Daisy is absolutely adorable! Very interested. Anxiously awaiting her profile.
I’m excited for her to become available! <3
Is something wrong with the little ANGEL?
Not that we are aware of. She’s just come into foster care and we are getting to know her. Once we do, we’ll post an updated profile.
Do you guys let them be shipped to other places I’m in Newfoundland and I have a female chi that’s 9
CCRT, like all reputable rescue groups, doesn’t ship foster dogs. However, your adoption application will still be considered even if you and your future furry family member live far apart. A “meet and greet” is mandatory and you will be responsible for all costs associated with getting to that meeting (i.e., gas, flights, hotels, meals, etc.) in the city where the foster dog is being cared for. If your application is approved and the dog must be transported to your home, you are fully responsible for all logistics and costs associated with that transport. If the transport involves flying the dog, the dog must fly in cabin (no cargo) in an airline approved soft sided carrier accompanied by the adopter. Hope this helps!
