This robust, sturdy boy is Finnigan. He’s high spirited, high energy and high fun!! He can keep you smiling whether he is flipping his toys skyward or running full on while chasing and being chased by his playmates.
He loves the outdoors. Finnigan loves his toys and his chewies. You will often find him with either in his mouth. He loves to shake and toss them around.
Finnigan loves to play zoom in the back yard with this foster brothers as well as going for walks. In the afternoon he loves to curl up on the sofa with his foster brother for a nap. He is a good eater who loves his food and he is not food aggressive.
Finnigan loves men and woman (and according to the shelter where he came from, he loves children too). Finnigan is excitable, meaning that if everything is quiet he can be too but if something sets him off…he goes with it!!
This otherwise healthy boy, does have issues with seizures that don’t need medication. They appear to be stress related. This rambunctious boy does have a tendency to bark while playing but he is coming around. He is learning that barking to get his way is not how most dogs play. It’s still a work in progress.
Finnigan is so keen to play that he bothers other dogs after they have clearly let him know that they are not interested in playing. It’s possible he does not recognize the signs and his foster family is working on helping him demonstrate respect.
He can use a pee pad, but does his business mostly outdoors. His marking has been minimal considering he lives with another dog who is a marker. He uses a pee pad again as a marker but usually does his business outside. He has not yet learned how to let you know it’s his time to go out, he just follows his foster pack. He has had a few accidents for this reason.
Finnigan’s perfect home would have a large fenced yard and possibly another high energy dog as a companion. He does show signs of some separation anxiety. Finnigan needs a family with a strong knowledge of dog behaviour. Finnigan is just a sweet guy just looking for someone to love him. He’s just learning the getting hugs and kiss from his foster mom are great.
If you would like to adopt Finnigan, please fill out an adoption application. You can purchase a sweater and/or blanket for him, or any of our other fosters dogs. Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our fosters by making a cash donation towards their care.

Hi there, just wondering how little Fin is coming along?
His foster family reports he’s doing well. His seizures are sporadic and he continues to be a happy boy! Fin would really love a forever home, might it be you?
He’s such a little cutie but I already have 3 which is the limit in T.O. I’ll keep a look out for a good home and check in for a look and updates on him.
Finn would be thrilled to know you’re helping him find a new home by keeping a look out for a great forever family. He says thanks!
Hi there I was wondering if Finnigan would do okay with cats? Also, would he be okay in an apartment if he wasn’t left alone for long periods of time?
Finnigan was thrilled to know someone asked about him! His foster mom tells us that he might be okay in an apartment as he doesn’t bark alot – except at the cats! Finn is apparently very intent on chasing them, but his mom doesn’t believe his intent is to harm them. Finn will run to them, get close and then wait for the cats to run away – and he repeats this. It’s his favourite game!
Hi, I was wondering how Finn would be with young kids? I have 1 girl 7 months right now. Is used to chi’s though as my mother has one. And is gentle nd likes to watch him and play.
Thanks for your inquiry! Finn is being fostered in a home without children, however as his profile states, the shelter advised us he was good with kids. Children need to be taught how to play and interact with dogs so if you’re committed to ensuring your daughter learns proper pet handling and continue with Finn’s training, you may wish to consider submitting an adoption application for him.
Where do I go to get Fabulous Finnigen, and is he/she still Available?
Finn is still looking for his forever home! If that home might be with you, please complete an online adoption form. We’ll let Finn know you asked about him!
Finn is a gorgeous boy– hope he find his home soon. <3
We hope so too! He’s been in foster care for over 8 months, please feel free to share his posting and maybe someone will see he is meant to be their furbaby!
We would love to make him part of our family… our 22 yr old son has seizures as well…we are well versed. How can I adopt him?
We would love to make Finn a part of your family as well. To start, please complete an online adoption form. Once reviewed, a Regional Coordinator will be in touch to discuss next steps.
Congratulations Little Man!!! So Happy for you. I’ve been admiring from afar and rooting for you all the way!
