Ginger was found as a stray and transferred to CCRT from a shelter.

If you look closely at Ginger’s foxy face with the long black whiskers, she appears to be smiling.  She’s a young Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix of cuteness.  She’s a very sweet, high-energy girl who’s looking for a forever home without young children.

Ginger is a cuddle bug who enjoys predictability and gentle handling, so fast movements by strangers or children can be frightening and cause her to vocalize.  She loves being with her people and needs a forever home where someone is there most of the time to keep her company.

Ginger is a submissive dog that tries hard to please her humans.  She’s good on leash and her housetraining is going well.  She does her business outside and also uses pee pads when necessary.

A home with a securely fenced backyard would make Ginger happy so that she can run around and burn off all that energy.  A condo would be okay too, as long as Ginger gets lots of walks and playtime.  Dog parks are not a good idea, though, because Ginger’s high energy level could get her into trouble.  Another dog to play with would be great, as long as it can keep up with Ginger’s boisterous way of having fun.  She has not been tested with cats.

Ginger has had a wellness exam and a heartworm test (negative).  She is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and she has recovered from her spay.

If you are interested in adopting Ginger and you fit all of this description of her ideal forever home, please fill out an adoption application.  You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her or any of our foster dogs.  Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a cash donation towards their care.
