March 10, 2018 Adopted.
World, meet Ginger! This beautiful girl was picked up as a stray and proceeded to go unclaimed at a shelter. We know what you’re thinking, “How could nobody be looking for this sweet little girl?” Unfortunately, this happens. However Ginger is now safe and sound under our care and is absolutely thriving in her foster home. She has made friends with one of the small resident dogs in the home and enjoys cuddling alongside him on her foster Mom’s lap. Ginger would do best in a home with another small, male dog as she really loves the company of her new friend. It’s truly heartwarming to see them together.
Ginger is fully house trained and does all of her business outside. Although her foster home has offered her pee pads, especially in the frigid weather we have been suffering through this winter, Ginger is always happy to run outside for a bathroom break and run back inside. She is a very clean little pup with immaculate bathroom habits.
Ginger would do well in an adult only home, where no fast-moving little hands will take her by surprise and possibly scare or hurt her.
Ginger is an all-around great little dog. She does not guard her toys, nor her food. She really LOVES her food! Ginger loves to snuggle with her foster parents and the resident dog in her foster home and is a loving, cuddly, incredibly sweet little girl. She will definitely make someone a wonderful companion as she loves to be with her people.
If you would like to adopt Ginger, please fill out an adoption application. You can purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her, or any of our other fosters dogs. Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our fosters by making a cash donation towards their care.

Ginger is a lovely girl! You’ll find a link to her online adoption application form in the last paragraph of her profile, it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to complete. Once submitted, it will be reviewed by a Regional Coordinator in your area and they will be in touch!
I’m really interested in this dog, however I live in an apartment building so just checking on her noise levels? Is she a barker?
At this time, there’s nothing to indicate Ginger would be a problem in an apartment building. If you’d like a more details, you can send an email to info@ccrt.net and the foster home will be contacted for specifics.
Hi. I’m wondering if Ginger is still available.
Yes, our darling Ginger is still up for adoption. If you’re interested in her, or any of our foster dogs, please complete an online adoption application form. It will be reviewed and a Regional Coordinator will be in touch.
I’ve filled out the app. I’m interested in ginger.I’m willing to travel. Adult only home.
Ginger looks like a lil sweetheart and, I feel would be a perfect playmate for our mellow male rescue Chi “Barney”. May I ask what you do for people that live out of town? We live in Windsor. Besides filling out the application, what would be the procedure?
She is a little sweetheart, isn’t she – we all really love her! Your adoption application will still be considered even if you and your future furry family member live in different cities. A “meet and greet” is mandatory and you will be responsible for all costs associated with getting to that meeting (i.e., gas, flights, hotels, meals, etc.) in the city where the foster dog is being cared for. If your application is approved and the dog must be transported to your home, you are fully responsible for all logistics and costs associated with that transport. If the transport involves flying the dog, the dog must fly in cabin (no cargo) in an airline approved soft sided carrier accompanied by the adopter.
