I’m so sorry that I haven’t contacted you sooner with an update on my wonderful friend Charles. He is amazing. With each passing day he becomes more dear to me.
I have attached photos of some of his memorable moments. There are so many memorable moments and oooodles of pictures, but these are some of my favorites.
We have almost conquered his frantic barking and he is becoming very social with most people. He is still very hesitant at first, but if people are willing to be quiet and still, he reacts quite well. After a few meetings he will run towards the person like they are a long lost friend!
He gets on with his “sister” quite well as long as there are no toys involved. Both he and Victoria are very competitive and are not willing to share! There is nothing funnier that watching a greyhound and a chihuahua fight over a teddy bear! Needless to say toys are only allowed with me in the room.
He is at the moment resting on my lap at the car dealership while my snow tires are being installed. He gets lots of attention wearing his sweater that says “I love hugs”.
On a formal outing to an art show a few weekends ago, he caused quite a sensation with his tuxedo and black patent leather leash! I’m still looking for a top hat to complete the outfit.
I can’t thank you enough for blessing me with this little angel. My life will never be the same!
2011 update:
I thought it was about time I gave you an update on Charles. He is continues to do wonderfully well. His training is over and he graduated with many new skills!
He is so much better with strangers and is much better with his fear barking. He is also beginning to enjoy a more cozy friendship with his big sister & can be found sharing her bed for aftmernoon naps quite often now. You should see him play in the snow in the yard! He plays for a few minutes then realises he’s cold! Very funny!
I have sent you some more pictures that show how happy he is. If you would like to post these or any of the others that I have sent you in the past on your site, that would be fine. I’m sure your supporters would love to see another success story from your wonderful adoption programme!
