Randy is a lucky guy! He has an adoption in the works.  No further applications will be accepted for him.

Randy was transferred to CCRT from a shelter where he arrived as a stray. He was very stressed in the shelter environment.

This energetic boy would probably stay outside all day if he could. Even after a 45- minute walk he is reluctant to come inside. Randy likes to ramble at a brisk pace and only stops now and then to inspect a bush. He insists on greeting every single dog he encounters and is friendly to all the dogs he meets. Randy has a great time running around the dining room table or in circles in the living room. It is hard to wear out this dog!

He is housebroken, but does not understand pee pads. He has just started to play with one of his squeaky toys. His favourite activity is running around!

He has only barked when people reach out their hands to pet him too quickly. He does not bark at home and is not a watchdog.

Randy is rather submissive at home. He tends to roll over on his back when he wants attention. His foster mom discourages this behaviour and substitutes play, by chasing him around the living room instead.

When Randy is sitting on foster mom’s lap at the computer and he feels she doesn’t give him enough attention, a cold wet nose nudge will remind her to get back to business and pet him some more.

Randy must be walked often and allowed to be outside. He needs a lot of stimulation. He would not do well in a situation where he’d have to be home all day while his owner worked. Randy will be a great companion for an active person/family.

If you would like to adopt Randy, please fill out an adoption application. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for him, or any of our other fosters dogs, please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our fosters, by making a cash donation towards their care.
