Hello! My name is Jake and I’m a 6 year old neutered male Chihuahua! I weigh about 5 1/2 lbs. Once you get to know me I’m a super sweet boy, very happy and easy going. But it will take me a little time to get used to you so I just need a little space at first. However, once we’re friends I would love to go on walks with you, sit on your lap and watch tv, or just spend time curled up in by dog bed at your feet.
I’m good with other dogs big and small as well as cats. I would probably do best in a home without young children. I’ll be a great watch dog and will bark if people come to the door, but I’m not excessively noisy. However I’m probably not suited for apartment living. I am both house trained and pee pad trained, and I’m good in a crate or loose in the house. But if you leave food out, it’s finder’s keepers!

Would like to know if you guys can ship a dog to me in BC. I so want a Chihuahua since I have been an adult, I have poodles but grew up with Chihuahuas as our fur babies. Or maybe you know of someone in BC that have them
Thank you for your inquiry. CCRT does not ship dogs, adopters are required to pick up and transport the dogs personally. We don’t have any foster dogs in BC at the moment, but encourage you to check out BC Chi Rescue for foster dogs closer to you!
Just wondering how Jake is doing and if there will be updated information on him soon. We are very interest in him and waiting to see if he will be a fit for our family.

Not enough Chihuahuas to go around…Hubby and I always wanted one but never found a Chihuahua rescue close to our home..We adopted a mini-schnauzer in Quebec 9 years ago…found out later he didn’t understand English and we didn’t speak French…Language barrier didn’t stop us from loving the little guy and he’s going strong at 12 years old…I know he would like a little brother. Our Flippy is very socialized and has a big yard to share…Maybe one day we will find him a brother..till then, we will continue to dream and hope that a little chihuahua will come into our lives to love and share a forever home.
