May 7, 2019: Adoption Pending!

Meet Coco!

With her delicate frame and distinctive eyebrows, Coco makes a charming first impression. This lovely lady is only six years old, but has spent most of that time in a puppy mill, where she had several litters in a short period of time. Needless to say, Coco is experiencing many “firsts” and is enjoying a new life of freedom and positive human interaction! She had dental work done April 3rd, 2019 and is scheduled to be spayed later this month. Coco will then be  ready for her forever home!

She may not be a puppy, but Coco still has a few things to learn. She’s calm and gentle with almost everyone (including men, children and other animals), but she’s timid and will need some time to warm up to her new human companions.

A cozy bed to sleep in, lots of snuggles and long grassy walks: these are all very new to Coco and it can seem a little overwhelming!

This leggy gal is fully housetrained and will do her lady business outside, as well as indoors on pee pads. She’ll even race downstairs first thing in the morning and stand by the door to let you know that she’s got to go. She may need a small adjustment period, but Coco learns fast and wants to please.

She’s still learning basic commands and what the leash is all about, but she’ll likely continue to learn quickly. She just needs a home that’s patient, loving and willing to help her learn the things she never got the chance to in her puppy years. If you’re that person, Coco will reward you with lots of love; in the form of cuddles, kisses and her adorable, crooked-tooth smile. Coco hasn’t shown any aggression in her current foster home, although she will sometimes growl a bit at other dogs if they come near her while she is eating.

At night, she goes into her crate at bedtime, where she promptly falls asleep and snoozes right through the night. She’s a big fan of cozy, warm places, especially if there are nice clean blankets involved.

If Coco sounds like the girl for you, please complete an adoption application for her. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her, or any of our other fosters dogs.

Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a donation towards their care.
