Lizzie is an 8.7-pound Chihuahua mix.  She came to CCRT from a shelter where she was turned in as a stray and no one claimed her.  Our vet estimates her age to be about three years.

This gorgeous girl has a lovely personality and is looking for a forever home where she will get all the love and attention she deserves.  Your heart will melt when she gazes lovingly into your eyes and nudges your hand to continue petting her.

Lizzie is sociable with people and other dogs.  She enjoys her daily walks and behaves quite nicely on leash.  She is a smart girl who is sensitive, learns quickly and tries hard to please her human.  When she came into foster care, Lizzie already knew the commands “sit” and “down.”  If you give her the “down” cue, she will roll onto her back for a tummy rub, which she asks for often.

Lizzie loves to play in the backyard of her foster home.  She will chase after a thrown toy and then run back.  She has yet to learn how to fetch.  She also enjoys chasing squirrels and birds.

CCRT has had Lizzie spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, tested for heartworm (negative) and her teeth have been cleaned.  She appears to be in good health and she is definitely ready to find her forever home.

Lizzie needs a forever home with a fenced backyard and someone who is able to spend lots of quality time with her.  If there are children in the home, they should be at least ten years old.  We do not know whether Lizzie is experienced with cats.

If you are interested in adopting Lizzie, please fill out an adoption application.  You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her or any of our other foster dogs.  Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel.  You can make a cash donation towards their care.
