Lulu is thrilled to let you know she has been adopted.
Lulu Profile
July 14, 2016
Meet little Lulu. She is tiny in size but big on personality, and she is patiently waiting in foster care for a special family of her very own to adore her.
Lulu is a short-coat, fawn-coloured Chihuahua weighing just 3.5 pounds. Sadly, some unfortunate life changes caused her owner to be unable to keep her, although she loved Lulu dearly.
This tiny treasure is eight years young, has a lovely temperament and is quite generous with her kisses, whether she knows you or not. Lulu has probably never met anyone she did not like. She is very trusting and sociable with humans and other small dogs.
Lulu loves to go for brief walks on leash. Those little legs of hers are not made for covering much distance. She is happy exploring the backyard of her foster home where she enjoys spending time because she is house-trained to go outside.
Since arriving in foster care, Lulu has been examined by our vet, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm-tested (negative), started on heartworm preventative, and she has had her dental needs attended to. She was already spayed.
Our vet detected a grade 2 to 3 heart murmur which does not require treatment or medication at this time. It certainly doesn’t stop Lulu from racing around the backyard and chasing birds.
Lulu would like a forever home with a calm environment where her human is home most of the day to spend quality time with her. She is used to a house with a safely fenced backyard. Lulu would be happy to have another small, gentle dog to play with, but she would also be fine on her own. Cats can sometimes see an animal of Lulu’s size as prey. A home with young children would not be appropriate for Lulu, as she could be easily injured.
If you are interested in adopting Lulu, please fill out an adoption application. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her or any of our foster dogs. Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our fosters by making a cash donation towards their care.

Why does she have to be all the way in Ontario she looks sooo much like my Tika that I just lost
So sorry to hear of your recent loss, our furbabies are like family! Did you know that your adoption application will still be considered even if you and your future furry family member live far apart? A “meet and greet” is mandatory and you will be responsible for getting to that meeting in the city where the foster dog is being cared for. If your application is approved and the dog must be transported to your home, you are responsible for all logistics and costs associated with that transport. If the transport involves flying the dog, the dog must fly in cabin (no cargo) in an airline approved soft sided carrier accompanied by the adopter. Hope this helps!
I am in love with this little beauty. I live in Vaughan. How can I apply to adopt her?
Easy! Just a complete an online adoption application here and a friendly CCRT volunteer will be in touch!
Has this little bundle of joy been adopted yet?
Not yet…if you’re interested, please complete an adoption application and someone will be in touch.
