This handsome duo came to CCRT after being surrendered by an owner. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
Maui
Maui, who has a sleek blue coat and adorable puppy-like eyes, is a cuddler extraordinaire, both with humans and his brother. He is very food motivated, which is great news for any future training! Maui snores when he sleeps and it sounds like his nose is stuffy. The vet says his lungs are clear, so this may just be one of his quirks.
This tiny guy does not like stairs and prefers to be carried. He also will not jump onto the couch. He does, however, love doing zoomies and plays a lot with his brother and his foster brother Leo (who is 11-years-old and doesn’t play with anyone!).
Maui is not leash trained yet, and he simply freezes when a leash is put on him. He will need some training and patience in this area.
Maui is working on doing his business outside, but he will use a training pad in his pen when he needs to go. He can go outside and relieve himself, but does not do so consistently yet. Maui barks occasionally, but usually just one or two and then he’s done.
Kiwi
Kiwi, who has an enviable ginger long-haired coat, loves to have his back scratched and his ears rubbed. He can do stairs and jump on and off the couch without issues.
Like his brother, Kiwi is food motivated. Neither pup has any basic commands, however they both respond to their names. We are working on “sit” at the moment, and doing the training one dog at a time, as they seem to like to outperform each other and see who can get the treat faster. When they’re finished, they love to cuddle together.
Both of these boys have sweet personalities and will be a fantastic addition to any home! We’re seeking a home with someone who is patient, loving and committed to helping these boys with ongoing training when it comes to basic commands, leash skills and potty training. An ideal home for Kiwi and Maui also has no large dogs or children under the age of six, and a parent home for at least half the day. These two are still young and need some guidance and attention to help them flourish. Please only fill out an application if your home meets these qualifications.
Think you’ve got the perfect home for these two cuties, please fill out an adoption application.
You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for them or any of our foster dogs.
Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a cash donation towards their care.

Hi, i lost my best friend to cancer (Toki)she was my baby my best friend and she had a happy 13 years life with our family. We have allot of love to give to ether Maui or kiwi.
If tou just give me the opportunity. 🥺
We are so sorry to hear about Toki, it’s never easy to lose a furbaby. As noted on their profile, Maui and Kiwi aren’t yet ready for adoption. Keep an eye on this page and we’ll update it when they are ready.
I would happily adopt them both!
I already have an application with you. I’m very interested in adopting Maui when he is available for adoption.
Excellent! In that case, please reach out to the Regional Coordinator you dealt with when you first submitted your application to let them know.
I would be interested in taking them together if they are good with other small dogs (I have a long haired 4year old male Chihuahua) and a cat (11yr old male) both my pets are neutered and vet checked yearly or more if required. I also work with a 24peteatch the microchip company which also is an animal medical insurance company, from home so I am home 95% of the time.
Keep an eye on their profile and submit an application when they become available for adoption:-)
Bless their little hearts. They are both gorgeous 💕
I love kiwi very sweet dog! He would fit right in with our long haired chihuahua Dallas! I would love to adopt him😍
