Chewie is here! He was surrendered along with Frankie by their owner. CCRT members worked together to transport them from Sudbury to Southern Ontario in July. Thanks to them for their efforts!

Chewie is a sweet little guy who bonds with his humans right away. He loves to snuggle and will kiss you for hours if you let him.  He gets along well with other dogs and engages them in play. Chewie’s foster Mom says he is confident, athletic, and very active.  He loves to play.  His favourite toy is his chewed up pumpkin called ‘Wubba’ which he squeaks and shakes mercilessly.  If you throw it, he will fetch it.  He loves rope toys and loves to play tug.  When it’s time to wind down, Chewie is content to lie quietly beside his foster mom when she is using the computer or reading. He will go inside his crate to rest or for some quiet time. He is a lovely companion in every regard.

This healthy, intelligent young boy is very curious. The lure of interesting things makes him want to wander and he is an accomplished escape artist.  A very secure yard is a must.

He can be a bit ‘barky’ but his foster mom is working on that.  His crate is his safe haven and he travels well in the car with it.  Apart from some minor incidents in the first day or two, Chewie has shown that he is housebroken.
