adoption pending
Pudge is a one-year-old male Chihuahua who likes attention, long walks, and play time. He is generally friendly but leery of strangers when he first meets them and will bark a lot until he’s comfortable. His foster family is actively working on this with him.
Pudge likes to be the life of the party! He’s very entertaining and eager to please. Adorably, he also likes to “talk” when getting affection.
Pudge is still young, so he will need basic obedience training and continued work on his barking. He has a medium energy level and would be good for a fairly active family.
He is not cat tested, although he likes other small dogs. He can be pushy, as he does not know his manners yet. He is good with calm big dogs after a slow, controlled introduction. He does not like to be left alone and would benefit from a buddy to spend time with in his new home.
Pudge can still be “mouthy” when he plays and is working on his boundaries, so we are looking for a home with older children who are dog-savvy.
Pudge is not pee-pad trained but is really good with house training as long as he is on a schedule and has lots of opportunity to go outside.
Are you an active, loving family with the patience to help Pudge with his puppyish ways? Consider filling out an adoption application. You can purchase a sweater and/or blanket for him, or any of our other fosters dogs.
Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our fosters by making a cash donation towards their care.

I am.very interested on pudge once he is ready to be abopted
Hello there,
I apply in the past to adopt a dog, however i was never lucky to get one.
I would love to adopt Pudge.
In that case, please contact the Regional Coordinator you communicated with when you originally submitted your application and make sure they know you are still interested in adopting from CCRT.
Such a cutie! Interested in him if he is okay around a cat 🙂 will keep looking for his updates!
Very interested in Pudge, have been checking up on the page almost everyday until he’s ready for adoption! He seriously would be the perfect addition to my life.
i would be interested in adopting pudge – is there a place where i can be notified when he is ready?
Just keep an eye right here and we’ll update Pudge’s profile when he’s ready for adoption:-)
Very interested as well. My husband and I have been waiting patiently for the right little boy and think he could be it. Would love to have a chance to meet him!
This page say he is 3 but the update says he is 1. Is it possible to adopt even if we are in BC
Thanks for catching that, we’ve fixed it – he’s a young 1 years old! Yes, your adoption application will still be considered even if you and your future furry family member live far apart. A “meet and greet” is mandatory and you will be responsible for all costs associated with getting to that meeting (i.e., gas, flights, hotels, meals, etc.) in the city where the foster dog is being cared for. If your application is approved and the dog must be transported to your home, you are fully responsible for all logistics and costs associated with that transport. If the transport involves flying the dog, the dog must fly in cabin (no cargo) in an airline approved soft sided carrier accompanied by the adopter.
I am hoping Pudge’s background and needs fit the bill for me as I am very interested in him.
I’m very interested in adopting Pudge. I’ve already submitted my application for adoption.
Ive been checking the page everyday just to make sure he’s not adopted 🙁
