August 2017 — Great news
Ruby has gone to her forever home.
Ruby has found her way to CCRT after being surrendered and we are happy to welcome this young girl into our care.
Ruby is a very sweet little girl trapped in a very frightened little girl’s body. She will require a family who is patient and willing to let her come around in her own time, which she will do. She takes time to trust and spooks easily. This is understandable as Ruby’s short life did not get off to a great start in terms of having loving, caring humans and experiencing all those great things that a pup ought to experience.
Despite her start, Ruby is a happy little girl once she has settled into her environment. She loves to explore the outdoors, loves food, loves eating, snacking, and also loves food!
She gets along well with other respectful dogs of all sizes and will let them know if they are being disrespectful. She seems indifferent towards cats. We do not recommend a home with small children as she may nip if frightened and cornered.
She would likely do best with a single person or retired couple with a well mannered dog or two. She’s not overly noisy and is house and paper trained. She eats and sleeps overnight quite happily in her crate. Did we mention that this beautiful girl absolutely loves food?!?
Ruby has some slight hair loss on her face and on her tail. She has been tested for mange and the test results were negative. We hope the hair will grow back. In any event, this hair loss does not detract from this sweet pup’s beauty.
If you are interested in adopting Ruby, please fill out an adoption application. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for Ruby or any of our foster dogs. Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a cash donation towards their care.
