Sadie came to CCRT from a hoarding situation of about 50 dogs.

As she has started to settle in her foster home, her personality is really coming out. She is very much a puppy, and loves to be silly, do the zoomies, and destroy toys. She is learning that shoes, and laundry shouldn’t be on that list. She will pretty much put anything she can into her mouths, even rocks, and eating poop. Close eye needs to be kept on her due to this, and she will need to continue to learn what is appropriate and what is not.

She loves to snuggle with her human and is very affectionate. She is also very smitten with one of the resident dogs.

Currently she is about 50% housebroken and will need patience to get her where she needs to be.

She is just learning to walk on a leash and sometimes becomes scared about being ‘controlled’.

She is very skittish around new or loud noises.

Ideal home for Sadie:

Adult only – due to stress caused by noises and quick movements

Another small dog in the house – to keep her company, she is much calmer with dogs around

Fully fenced and secure backyard – she currently only goes to the bathroom in the backyard where she feels safe, so this will help with potty training

A patient family to work with accidents in the house and continue with potty training

A family comfortable in training a puppy out of bad behaviours (eating things she shouldn’t and destroying things she shouldn’t)

Ideally only being left alone 4-6 hours at a time

If you are interested in adopting Sadie and you fit all of this description of her ideal forever home, please fill out an adoption application.  You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her or any of our foster dogs.  Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our foster dogs by making a cash donation towards their care.
