Shadow has been adopted.
This handsome boy found his way to CCRT via a shelter, where he had been surrendered. Shadow is microchipped, neutered and he had a dental cleaning along with some extractions (May 2017). He has recovered well from these procedures and looks and feels great! He is now ready to be a beloved pet.
According to Shadow’s foster Mom, “this little guy is all charm, cuddles, and kisses, and has yet to meet someone whose lap he hasn’t climbed into. He loves to snuggle beside you when you are reading, watching TV, and sleeping.” So – if you are looking for a loving, loyal, little companion who will be your Shadow – pun intended – this pup may be for you! He easily jumps on and off the sofa and up onto laps.
Shadow gets along well with other dogs (large and small) as well as with cats. He loves a good game of chase with the large resident dog in his foster home (lab mix) and he loves to cuddle with her IF his foster Mom is too busy to cuddle. Shadow walks well on his lead and LOVES going out, be it for a walk or a car ride. He travels well in the car.
Shadow appears to be housetrained and requires consistency in his routine to ensure long term success.
Shadow has a thyroid condition and currently takes the thyroid medication Eltroxin, 100 mcg daily. He will have a follow-up blood test on June 14th to ensure the dosage is correct. He requires medication and annual blood tests to monitor and control his condition, likely for the rest of his life. His condition is well controlled with this medication and he feels well.
If this sweet and charming love-bug sounds like a dream, please fill out an adoption application for him. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for Shadow, or any of our other foster dogs.
