It looks like Lucia has found her forever home!

If you are looking for a super-sweet, cuddly lap-dog to spend lots of time with, Lucia is your girl. This tiny, precious dog is a wonderful companion and has so much love to give.
CCRT rescued Lucia from a shelter where she was very frightened after being surrendered by her owner. Lucia is an eight-year-old, shoEdit Edit date and timert-coat Chihuahua who weighs just over four pounds. Our vet would like her to gain at least half a pound. In foster care she has already put on a few ounces and is gaining some muscle tone with exercise and a high-quality diet.
Lucia is house-trained, but will use pee-pads if you want her to. She is calm, quiet, well behaved and has a lovely temperament. She loves to be held in your arms and petted. If you stop stroking her, she will gently nudge your hand with her nose to remind you that she’s there.
Lucia has one luxating patella, which is common in small dogs, but she loves to go for short walks. Her knee doesn’t seem to bother her. Apart from that, Lucia has been given a clean bill of health. She has had a dental, is micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations and she is spayed.
Lucia needs a forever home where she will get all the love and attention she deserves, possibly with a retired person or someone who works at home. She would be fine with another adult, well-behaved, toy-breed dog with a similar temperament. She would prefer a home with no young children because they frighten her.
