February 25, 2020 : Adoption Pending
February 15, 2020 No further applications are being considered.
Ben and Finn are brothers. Since these two chis interact well together preference will be given to applicants who would like to adopt both.
Finn and his brother Ben both have endless amounts of energy for playing with one another – They love fetching toys as well as taking them from the toy basket to hoard in the play pen – they are very curious and love to explore – they prefer to do their business indoors and generally hit the pee pad most of the time – Love snuggling and playing together – they seem to seek comfort from one another when unsure -try to engage the 3 resident Chis they currently live with to play by barking at and then pouncing at them – they do not climb stairs and do not jump onto furniture. – they are mischievous and will get into anything at their level so their furever home will definitely need to be puppy proofed – will need to continue training in their furever home – Finn is definitely the more outspoken litter mate. – Ben is more timid and takes time warming up.
Vital Stats
Age: 11 months old
Weight: 3.7 lb
Location Milton Ontario
Adoption donation: $700
Is it possible to apply from out of province? (Alberta)
If you what are the extra costs? And what’s the best way to go about it?
Yes, your adoption application will still be considered even if you and your future furry family member live far apart. A “meet and greet” is mandatory and you will be responsible for all costs associated with getting to that meeting (i.e., gas, flights, hotels, meals, etc.) in the city where the foster dog is being cared for. If your application is approved and the dog must be transported to your home, you are fully responsible for all logistics and costs associated with that transport. If the transport involves flying the dog, the dog must fly in cabin (no cargo) in an airline approved soft sided carrier accompanied by the adopter.
My family and I would love to have Finn be a part of our family. We had a chihuahua for almost 14 years but we had to say goodbye to him. Please let us know when he will be available.
Thank you
We are sorry to hear of the loss of your furbaby, it’s never easy. As indicated on our website, we are unable to contact interested parties individually with updates about a particular dog. Please check Finn’s profile page regularly to stay informed on his progress and to know when he is available for adoption.
Helllo,
I am a Delta Airlines Flight Attendant ✈️ My family is from BC & UK.
I’m quite familiar with transporting a chihuahua to and from Canada including “Tinker belle” for my mum in Kamloops.
I’m interested in adopting Finn (when available ) and having him join my beautiful family of Chihuahua’s.
How, where, when can I do that ?
Thanks !! Plus for all the good work you all do 🙏🏻❤️
Thanks for your inquiry! Keep an eye on Finn’s profile to find out when he’s ready for adoption. Note, we only adopt out our dogs within Canada.
Please elaborate. Within Canada meaning only Canadian citizen can adopt ? Or as I understand, responsible for getting to Fynn’s location for meet & greet etc.
While you don’t need to be a Canadian citizen, our dogs are fostered in Canada and must be picked up by the new home in the same city where the dog is being fostered. Also, we must be able to conduct reference checks, including a home visit. Hope this helps!
Hi
I just left a voice message. I would be interested in keeping the brothers together but am going away for 2 weeks. Can I set up a meeting before I go away on February 24?
Unfortunately, we don’t set up meetings until you’re adoption application has been screened and your reference checks completed. Be sure to submit your adoption application before you leave. It will be reviewed and your application is deemed suitable, a Regional Coordinator will be in touch for next steps.
Would love to have Finn join our little family. I lost my best friend and chi son snickers last March. We still have his sister Harmony who is longing for a new brother or sister.
I work from home so would have the pleasure of playing with the Chi’s all day 🙂
Would love to actually have both the boys join our family.
Will keep an eye on their webpage.
Hi there, we would love to adopt Finn and ben together when they are ready. we live in toronto and I am wondering if it’s possible to come and meet them even though they’re not quite ready. we’d like to make sure they’re a good fit. we could easily drive up anytime! thanks so much
Meet and greets are completed as part of the adoption application process. The ‘fit’ is our #1 priority so we screen for that in the application and throughout the process. If it’s determined your may be a good fit during the process, you will be invited for a meet and greet.
I already have an adoption application with you. We went to see Jake. Do I need to send in another one for Ben and Finn?
No you don’t need to submit another application, simply contact the Regional Coordinator you dealt with during your original application.
Thank you
