Meet Vinnie!
This easy going boy found himself in rescue as the result of an owner surrender. Even with the sudden change to Vinnie’s routine and the home life he once knew, he is coping well. Vinnie is 10 years young and in the time he has been under our care, has proven to be a great little dog.
He gets along well with everybody – humans, dogs, and children alike. He enjoys cuddling, car rides, walks, and going to the dog park to play chase
with his fellow canines. Thankfully his easy going nature has worked in his favour during this time of transition.
Vinnie’s housetraining seems to be in order. He needs to be taken out regularly to ensure his success. He is not pee pad trained, but is being trained by his foster Mom to use them so this is a work in progress.
Vinnie LOVES his food. He gobbles it up in the blink of an eye! Vinnie’s Foster Mom has come up with an ingenious solution to slow him down a little.
She feeds him in a muffin tin and has met with some success in slowing him down from inhaling his meals. We recommend a food bowl designed specifically for this purpose to help Vinnie eat with a little less gusto!
If you are interested in adopting Vinnie, please fill out an adoption application. You can also purchase a sweater and/or blanket for her or any of our foster dogs.
Please consider becoming a CCRT Sponsorship Angel for any of our fosters by making a cash donation towards their care.

The CCRT does not have a physical shelter. We are a volunteer organization and our dogs are kept in pre-approved foster homes. If you are interested in adopting one of our foster dogs, you must start by completing an online adoption application form. Thanks!
I am interested in adopting him once you know more about his behaviour and temperment. I have previously filled out an application but some information has changed. Would you suggest filling out another?
Thanks!
Vinne is a cutie and we see why you’re interested in adopting him! As you’ve already filled out an adoption application, you should simply followup with the Regional Coordinator who contacted you in relation to your initial application. Thank you!
The application was for a different dog and it was a while ago so I no longer have the contact information unfortunately.
In that case, best to complete another one and that will restart the process. You’ll find our adoption application here.
Is Vinnie still available? Is he okay with cats?
Yes, Vinnie is still looking for his forever home. We don’t know what he’s like with cats, as his foster home doesn’t have any, but you’re welcome to submit an application for him and you, the Regional Coordinator and his foster family can discuss this in greater detail.
I live in NL. How much does it cost to ship to this province?
Hi there. CCRT does not ship dogs to other destinations. However, your adoption application will still be considered even if you and your future furry family member live far apart. A “meet and greet” is mandatory and you will be responsible for all costs associated with getting to that meeting (i.e., gas, flights, hotels, meals, etc.) in the city where the foster dog is being cared for. If your application is approved and the dog must be transported to your home, you are fully responsible for all logistics and costs associated with that transport. If the transport involves flying the dog, the dog must fly in cabin (no cargo) in an airline approved soft sided carrier accompanied by the adopter.
